PASSAGE 2008
As a child and throughout adulthood, I have been drawn to unspoiled and forlorn stretches of isolated seacoast, primarily National Seashores. The following images were taken on the Outer Banks of North Carolina in April, 2008. Vulnerable to severe Atlantic storms, the shifting and ever-emerging patterns of the sand and fragile dunes and grasses form an uneasy relationship with the unrelenting rhythm of the tempestuous and dominant sea.
