Mien women are very stylish dressers in their distinctive red boas and usually large black turbans. This tribe follows a number of Chinese traditions in their obedience to the Taoist religion.  Historically, this tribe has been a follower of Chaing Kai Shek, and they have been living here since the Revolution.

Woman of a Hill Tribe called Mien, or Yao

Mien women are very stylish dressers in their distinctive red boas and usually large black turbans. This tribe follows a number of Chinese traditions in their obedience to the Taoist religion. Historically, this tribe has been a follower of Chaing Kai Shek, and they have been living here since the Revolution.
