Les Îles de la Madeleine, QC 2007
Les Îles de la Madeleine is an archipelago located in the middle of the St. Lawrence River, 215km from the Gaspé peninsula, 105km from Prince Edward Island, and 95km from Cape Breton Island.
Th archipelago comprises a dozen islands, six of which are linked by long, thin sand dunes. As far as the eye can see, the the islands and dunes seem to blend, break apart, and then stretch lout of sight. The islands look like tiny landmasses enlivened by brilliant green valleys, spectacular white sandy beaches, deep red cliffs and the countless shades of blue that the sea and lagoons reflect from the sky.
