This raft reflects the lifestyle of the Uthai Thani people, that has always been linked with water. These floating houses are natural fish farms.

 • Sukhothai is Thailand's largest collection of historical ruins, including columns, shrines, temples and palaces. This is the place where the Thai nation was born, the kingdom's magical and spiritual centre, which epitomizes old Siam.

Sukhothai's most famous king was Ramkamhaeng, who ruled from 1278 to 1318 and left a great legacy of art and architecture as well as stones inscribed with a chronicle of his achievement. After his death, Sukhothai fell into terminal decline, as subsequent kings were unable to maintain political and economic power.

One of the most common positions depicts the Buddha with his right hand extended, the palm turned inward with the fingers extending down to touch the earth. The image is seated in a half lotus position, with both feet elevated above the knees.
